How to report Forex to IRS?

I received a 1099, but I just put down $xxxx.00 as the purchase price and loss $XXXX.00 what happen next year if I have a gain? I can’t put $0.00 as a purchase price?! Am I not using the right form for Forex, does it needs a special one?

Just call them that is all you have to do……………
