Forex Sales

i have applied for forex sales associate position but once they hear ed i have a conviction i couldn’t get it

I have applied for Forex Sales Associate position and i was told i have to get series 3 license and i was told how much they will pay me , but i had to let them know that i have a federal conviction thats when the manager shook his head and said will get back to you. Is it the license i can’t get it because of the conviction or the company…this is the second interview with same job turned me down. My question can i get the license on my own and then look for such job? can i fight to get the license .

but their bonding company would probably reject you and without bonding, you don’t work there.
